10:09 AM AirAsia began to decent.  Tawau town appeared in sight. We could see the construction site of the tallest hotel in Tawau.

This largest hotel cum largest shopping complex of this little know town will be completed in 2008.

10:10 AM The plane decent toward Balung town 30 kilometers away where the airport is.  Alone the costal line is the eye sore of Tawau - the illegal squatters of the low cost laborers of Tawau.

Without the work force from these laborers, many of the plantations, mills and factories have to close down.

10:13 AM Plane touched down.

This is our humble little airport. Yet it is designated as an International Airport.

An airport familiar to many Western adventurers who came to this part of the world to explore the wonder of marine life.

10:50 AM.  We hired an airport taxi for RM50 and head home.

Finally, a one week school holiday of exploring the big cities ended.

Now back to our village home sweet home - a location unmarked even in the latest Malaysian map and where we carry on a quiet and peaceful live.
