24-11-2006 Friday - A day in KLCC |
| 10:00 AM We reached KLCC. Xing and I
wanted
to go up to SkyBridge
at Petronas Towers but unsuccessful. The sky bridge is opened to visitors between 8.30am - 5.00pm every Tuesday to Sunday. We wanted to start today with a visit to the SKY BRIDGE, but when we reach the Sky Bridge entrance counter, the staff said all entrance ticket for the day has been given out. No opportunity to step foot on the highest bridge this time. Perhaps the next trip when we come again. To get a entrance ticket (free) one have to reach the entrance counter early. On weekends one has to be there as early as 7.30am to be sure of getting a tickets for the sky bridge at the Petronas Twin Towers as they are limited. I was up there in 2002 when I came to KL for a one week training course. I came early then. The view was good despite it being a miserable raining cloudy day. This formally worlds tallest towers stand at 450 meters (88 levels). The visit to the sky bridge starts with 3D film about the building before heading up to level 41.The super fast lift travels at one floor per second, so it took 40 over seconds from ground to the Sky bridge. The bridge has two levels. The upper laver is reserved for the staff working in the towers. We spend the whole day in KLCC Kuala Lumpur City Centre today. Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), "city within a city", this 40 hectare (100-acre) site includes the KLCC park and PETRONAS Twin Towers. Suria KLCC is located at the feet of the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers. There are 6 levels of retail outlets with each level of a distinctive character and style. It is a vast complex with a broad choice of over 250 specialty shops and numerous cafes and restaurants. |

The calm natural park environment provide green open public space in a concrete jungle, its abundant plant species encourage bio-diversity and act as a haven for birds and fauna. |

| Top Right Corner - Children swimming pool On the Right of photo - Lake Symphony is programmed to provide 150 colorful, magical and dramatic animations. The total effect is a lighthearted and gregarious atmosphere. The fountain would be most captivating during sunset and against the night sky. The calming effects of the colorfully lit water features is not only soothing and relaxing to the mind but is something that parks in Kuala Lumpur have not seen before. Top Left distance corner which can not be seen fully is the mosque On the Left of photo - Muslim believers leaving from mosque after noon prayer. At time of prosperity and wealth, one do not forget God the all Bountiful.
