This empty public ground was once illegal squatter by Philippines refugees (see my photos in 1977) and one can easily see longhair, shirtless, barefoot, dirty street children sleeping on the open space overnight. But that was 30 years long time ago.  That Kota Kinablau town has since 'progressed', 'developed' into a 'Prosperous Modern City' I witness today.

However old memory remain, I still see familiar sight except that today they are 'Modern Version'. There are (or just a he is) now young grown up, well dressed, neat haircut and apparently clean shoes still sleeping on the public street overnight.
