Trip to the Tip of Borneo   15 March to 22 March 2009

3rd Day - 17th March 2009 Tuesday
We put up in Hotel Sunrise the previous night. Double Room is Rm 48.00 with air-condition and attached bathroom with hot shower. Old carpet usually too dusty and bacterial rich for people with sensitive lungs.  Luckily the air conditioner is circulating well.

Workup earlier and left the 2 sleeping children in the hotel room to go for a morning stroll at sea front.

7:30 am Aftter breakfast. Start our journey to The Tip of Borneo.---- Beach----

Finally after 2 days 2 nights we reach The Tip of Borneo. 180 km north of Kota Kinabalu.  and about half and hour's drive from Kudat, a small idyllic town with fresh and inexpensive seafood. A good investment.

The started the journey from Tawau home at 7:30 am on 15th March and arrived The Tip on 17th March. It took a long time, but in between we been to several interesting places.

After the Tip we drove South toward Kota Kinabalu without returning to Kudat Town. We are hungry and look forward to reach Kota Marudu soon to fill our stomach. On our way we passed by the Victory Mini Zoo, an place of attraction for both Yin and Xing. So we stop our car and devoted another hour to dozens of local animals.

It is getting late in the afternoon and approaching the evening. It will not be easy to find a budget hotel in KK nor we want to put up again in Tauran I know there is low cost place to try - the Mimpian Jadi Resort.

We arrived at this sea side resot, finally, after driving pass mangrove forest and village houses. The resort gave us a very good promotion price Rm 88 and Rm66 for the second night onward.

" We are staying here tonight." I return to the car where the 2 children wait while I check with the resort.

Afternoon soon turned to dusk, into evening and enter a different world.

又是夕陽無限好, 難得幾度夕陽紅
