| This is Tuaran town where we spend
last night. Our hotel is at the right of the above photo. We arrived
late last night and droved round and round the town several times
unable to find a second hotel other then this small shop lot style
hotel. This is a town where tourist have no reason to visit other then drop by for lunch to try their famous Tuaran Mee (noodle). We came to the hotel here because Kudat, the town where Tip of Borneo is, is another 3 hours drive which I do not want to make it in the night. We search for a 'nice' place for breakfast and found a new coffee shop with the name 'Tuaran Noodle' where each of us ordered Mee (noodle) as breakfast. I am not sure the noodle we had is the 'Tuaran Noodle' that other talked about. After filling the tank at the Shell station (above photo), off we go to Tuaran Crocodile Farm on the way to Kudat Town. |
| We saw a bright colorful pagoda
behind the shop lots. Its color and architecture are very catching
to the eyes. So we find the way and droved into this Lung San Temple
of Tuaran, a new tourist attraction developed recent years. More about Lung San Temple of Tuaran After half an hour in the temple we continue our journey to a crocodile wonder land of the children. |

Tuaran Crocodile Farm, a crocodile adventure land 32km from Kota Kinabalu city center. is located along the Jalan Sulaman Highway, less then a kilometer from Shangrila Rasa Ria Resort, guests are greeted by a crocodile cartoon painted on the entrance There were many crocodiles in the farm and the set-up of the farm is interesting. We walked on bridges, over the crocodiles. We stroll around the farm, visiting more that just crocodiles- ostrich, lizards, fish, This is the first time Yin seeing a real crocodiles to compared
with what she usually see in Animal Planet. There’s a Murut Longhouse inside. Cultural dance is shown half an
hour after every crocodile show time in here. This successful crocodile farm started 50 years ago where one young boy from a fishmonger family started with small pond when a fishermen gave him small crocodile caught in their fishing nets. From there, this boy gradually manage to built up his carrier breeding more than 3,000 crocodiles each year and the business keep going forward. Here they sell Crocodile eggs at RM2.00 each! Other than that they are also selling Crocodile skin, snake skin, souvenirs etc More about Tuaran Crocodile Farm |
