Lung San Temple of Tuaran (Ling San Temple) 龍山塔

'Lung San' in Hakka dialect while 'Ling San' in Hockien dialect.

Temple of Dragons

The temple is famous for its nine storey pagoda the LING SAN PAGODA
龍山塔, built several years ago as a tourist attraction with subsidy fund from Sabah Tourist Department.

In the initial years after the pagoda was completed, it was promoted by the tour agents.

Temple of Dragon Mountain

Main attraction in this small town is the Ling San Pagoda and Temple. The pagoda is also known locally as Lung San Pagoda. The pagoda is nine floors high. "Ling San" literally means "Nine dragons playing with fire balls".

Quite honestly, the temple’s name should have been Lung San Temple but somehow it has been written as Ling San.

Ling San Pagoda

Within the perimeter of the temple there are statue figures of deities and people in the ancient times. It’s well worth a visit if your interest is in temple and more temples.
